"I first met Will County Deputy Chief Dan Jungles in June of 2002 when I was a Detective with the Wilmington Police Department. At the time, Chief Jungles was patrolling the unincorporated areas of our jurisdiction. I vividly remember an incident in which he was dispatched to a fully engulfed house fire. Upon arrival, without hesitation, he risked his life by entering the home in an attempt to locate any survivors, which is a testament to his courage and dedication.

Throughout my career, I have worked on several sensitive cases involving crimes against children, during which Chief Jungles served with the Will County High-Tech Crimes Unit. In those cases and others, I witnessed firsthand his professionalism, expertise, and deep commitment to the victims.

Over the years, I’ve come to know Dan Jungles both professionally and personally. I cannot speak highly enough about his unwavering dedication to his job, his family, and the strength of his moral character.

"For 21 years I served as an FBI Agent in the South Suburbs of Chicago working violent crimes to include crimes against children, sex trafficking of minors, gangs, drugs, and homicides.  During that time, it was imperative to develop close relationships with local police departments to include the Will County Sheriff’s Office.  For 19 years I was lucky enough to work side by side with now, Deputy Chief Dan Jungles to combat violent crime in our community.  As a 19-year resident of Will County myself, I held this liaison to a higher standard knowing that protecting my own community while serving others was paramount to feeling safe, and knowing my neighbors and friends were safe too.  DC Jungles has the ability to develop relationships that are long-lasting, are more than “just a job”, and his dedication to his craft as a law enforcement officer is top notch.  DC Jungles works side by side with other agencies, has a command presence like no other, is well-versed in every aspect of the law, and at the same time, a great human being.  DC Jungles is not just the epitome of a law enforcement professional, he is a stand-up, strong, confident, dedicated, hard-working person who I cannot wait to call Sheriff of Will County.  DC Jungles has taken a strong stance against human trafficking, has worked tirelessly to combat, prevent, and be a voice for the most vulnerable by being a member of the Advisory Board for Reclaim 13 who assists victims of sexual exploitation.  DC Jungles and I worked together on several cases to include the abduction/homicide of Semaj Crosby.  DC Jungles led the charge investigating a case that was heartbreaking and difficult to navigate with poise and professionalism.  DC Jungles is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and was selected to attend because of his tireless efforts to make Will County a better and safer place for all of us to live. I fully support DC Jungles candidacy for Will County Sheriff.
